Mount Sherman is located in the Mosquito Range, situated between Fairplay and Leadville. It was named after William Tecumseh Sherman and was likely first summited by miners. The mountain is notable for being un-notable; it is one of the lowest 14ers, its silhouette is un-distinctive, and ascents are relatively easy. Its summit is broad and once the site of an emergency landing of a small aircraft.
