Boating Product’s Two Pack Etch Primer is a two pack, fast drying primer. It has outstanding adhesive qualities to all relevant surfaces, including metal surfaces. It contains Zinc Chromate anti-corrosive pigment for maximum corrosion protection.

Surface Preparation

• Degrease, then sand with coarse paper (no. 80). Possibly sandblast or sandblast. After sanding, absolutely do not wash with water, detergents, acids or general solvents.
• Before and after any sanding operation, the substrate must be thoroughly degreased using a Grease Remover to remove all traces of dirt, oil, grease,silicone, wax etc. Afterwards,cleanthoroughlywith a dry, clean cloth.

• Allow 3 – 10 minutes between coats at 25C

Notes

• Do not apply at temperatures less than 10C, when the relative humidity exceeds 80%, or ifthe surface temperature is within 3C of the dew point.
• Drying times can vary depending on temperature, flash off between coats, film builds andnumber of coats applied.

*Allow 30 minimum to 12 hours maximum drying time before re-coating. Recommendations arebased on 25C ambient temperature.

Suggestions

• NEVER use acids to descale or clean surfaces before application.
• Do not use detergents, dirty solvents, water to wash surfaces after sanding. Use awax & grease remover then cleanthoroughlywith a dry, clean cloth.
• Do not touch the surfaces with bare hands before application.
• Mix very carefully before use.
• To obtain an excellent result, the preparation of the surface isclean, without grease, dust or other dirt (even fingerprints), sweat or traces of solvents or water).
